Quality Assurance Specialist

For our plant in Roermond, The Netherlands we are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist who is motivated and interested in joining a dynamic team committed to learning and growing, combined with passion for food industry.

The main goal of this position is to assist the Quality Manager with maintaining, verifying and monitoring the Food Safety & Quality System, and to promote a Quality Culture within the company. You will be responsible for the complaint management process. Next to that you will assist in the supplier approval process along with promoting Good Manufacturing Practices throughout the factory environment.


  • Ensure exceptional product quality and customer satisfaction are achieved through driving GMP, food Safety and Continuous improvement throughout the factory.
  • Maintain and improve the quality assurance and food safety plans
  • Assist in the Supplier approval processes, risk assessment and auditing suppliers, maintaining approved supplier list. Risk assess new ingredients and packaging and give advice for approval by QA manager.
  • Assist in the management of company quality management and food safety systems
  • Coordinate the World Class Manufacturing Program of the Company and drive progress of pending projects.
  • Handle the complete complaint process, from intake until the answers to the customer.
  • Make complaint reports on a regular frequency
  • Conducting root-cause analysis into complaints or other shortcomings.
  • Create and keeping customer specifications up to date. Send these specifications out on request.
  • Fill in customer specifications in their specific format or their web- based systems.
  • Conducting internal audits and hygiene inspections.
  • Assist in external audits.
  • Attending specific customer testings.
  • Any other tasks requested by the QA Manager  in order to maintain the integrity of the Quality and Food Safety systems
  • Assisting the production team with non-conforming products.

Your Profile:

  • Preferably HBO Food Technology or relevant industry experience
  • Knowledge of complaint management and root-cause analysis
  • Computer Literate Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, SAP ideally
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Will show excellent attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of HACCP principles.
  • Familiar with requirements of food standards like BRC and IFS.
  • Competence in GMP programme and implementation
  • Affinity with continuous improvement.
  • Excellent Dutch and English verbal and written skills required, German and/or French are a plus.

Key account Manager (Netherlands/Germany/Austria/Switzerland) NEW

We are looking for a Key Account Manager who will be responsible for our business in Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The role involves both ongoing relationship management and new business development opportunities across the Retail and Food Service channels.

You will become part of the European Sales team and report to the Commercial Director Northern & Eastern Europe. The position is based in Roermond, the Netherlands. Working partially from home is possible after the induction period.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • To spend over 80% of the time in the field with customers, visiting accounts and selling and developing strong long term customer relationships.
  • To increase the number of accounts in the territory.
  • To work closely with Marketing to ensure effective co op marketing activity with accounts as well as to develop and effectively implement account specific promotions
  • To provide structured customer / account feedback on the product and on competitor product innovations to the Commercial Director and to the Marketing team.
  • To work closely with Customer Service teams to ensure service levels to accounts are maximised and managing the order book from sales order to on time delivery.
  • At all times to possess an up to date knowledge of the market / industry
  • To possess an in depth knowledge of all accounts
  • To actively support PR events and trade shows as required
  • Develop sales plans
  • Effective delivery of agreed sales plans/forecasts
  • Improve Account/Product profitability
  • Present Brand Plans to the Customer
  • Present NPD plans to the Customer
  • Agree profitable promotional activity based on current capacity availability and financial data.
  • Utilise Market data to seek out incremental opportunities based on Gap analysis, and a Professional Category approach.
  • Use SAP to accurately forecast sales by customer/product/week.

Job requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related
  • 7-10 years' experience of successfully working in an account management role dealing with large Retail and Food-service customers.
  • Ability to interpret data and negotiate contracts
  • Developed interpersonal skills with the ability to de-velop strong business relationships
  • Ability to develop strategic sales plans and follow through.
  • Languages: English, Dutch and German.
