Product Manager

This role offers a great opportunity for a marketer looking to develop their wider marketing skills. Working as part of a small team, there's lots of opportunity to be exposed to (and take responsibility for) many different elements of the marketing mix and to make a real and visible difference within the business. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a relatively fast paced and fluid environment.

The role involves taking responsibility for the management and coordination of marketing activities in Continental Western and Central Europe, focussed on both the Mission brand activity and initiatives relating to private label and secondary brands.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

Support a selection of marketing project work as directed by the Commercial Director Northern and Eastern Europe including:

Brand communications such as press advertising & online media

NPD activity to investigate new concepts and development of existing range

Data analysis & preparation of presentations

Regular sales & market analysis to identity trends & Mission's performance against targets using Business intelligence, TNS data & other relevant sources.

Management of the packaging and artwork sign-off process

Contribute to the development of Missions future marketing strategy with input into Missions future strategic planning process

A&P: Day to day budget management with monthly reconciliation of relevant A&P and accruals.

Taking direction from the Commercial Director align the CE Brand strategy with best practice from Europe, but also recognize the needs of the local CE market, and the strong influence of CE Retailer Brands.

Define CE product portfolio strategy, and areas for growth in both Retail and OOH.

Responsibility for the achievement of Branded targets, and numerical standards of performance. Brand Share of Trade, Brand penetration, Store distribution, Brand profitability by SKU, are relevant examples.

Take responsibility for Profit improvement, (or cost reduction) initiatives for Branded SKUs.

Manage CE agencies for Advertising, PR, Research, and link CE design into the Corporate framework.

Full accountability for budgeted costs associated with the Brand in CE.

Qualifications and job skills required:

  • Degree educated with qualifications in international marketing
  • Practical experience should include brand marketing exposure, 2-5 years FMCG
  • The individual should be commercially minded with a keen understanding of the marketing principles & processes such as Project management, Market data analysis and reporting, promotion & PR, Sales forecasting & Budget co-ordination.
  • The individual needs to have good analytical and creative abilities to do the creative side of the job.
  • User level knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Business level of English language, preferably advanced level of Dutch & French. Any other European language is a plus. 

Based in the Netherlands

Some travel across the region.
