Principal purpose of role

To provide pro-active support to the HR function in all HR related administration and company procedures including facilities work. Working closely with the full time HR Coordinator and the HR Officer, you will work together to ensure a high quality HR service is delivered to the business.

Main tasks and responsibilities

HR related responsibilities


Provide administration support for all HR processes, including recruitment, training, transfers and leavers to ensure the smooth running of the HR department.
Assist in creating and maintaining HR records, both computerised and manual so that accurate information is kept. Includes staff files, staff leaver files and training records.
Maintain Company organisation charts.
Assist with the control and recording of Holiday requests.
Assist with producing and recording Maternity, Paternity & Parental leave communication.
Update and maintain personnel database as necessary.
To assist with preparation of weekly/monthly payroll information.
Arrange weekly OHN appointments.
Maintain noticeboards update on regular basis.
Collate ad hoc data, statistics and reports to individuals and departments to meet specified requirements.
Assist with induction and integration for new hires, including the creation of personnel files and checking of required documentation, entering of new starters details on the SAP and Kronos systems and completion of probationary reviews.
Update company website- vacancies

Facilities related responsibilities


Set up and maintain allocation of staff personal lockers and swipe cards.
Light reception duties including greeting visitors and following sign-in procedure.
Liaise with caterers & machine vendors, co-ordinating supply and re-stocking.
Face to face or telephone staff queries and contact with all levels of staff.
Sort and issue mail and sending invoices to Accounts department.
Frank outgoing mail / arrange couriers on ad-hoc basis.
Monthly locker inspections.
To assist with ordering uniforms and Company business cards for new starters where necessary.
Other general ad-hoc duties.
Ordering of stationary/ first aid/ water supplies

Apprenticeship
Complete 2 year apprenticeship in line with agreed modules specifically in relation to
Human Resources.
Work closely alongside tutor to ensure agreed deadlines and units are met.

Principle purpose of the role

       Seek- out, develop and deliver savings initiatives and maximise benefits from leveraging spend across sites and countries.

       Collate and analyse category spend data, develop and implement strategic sourcing plans

       Utilise knowledge of the external marketplace across suppliers, customers and competitors

       Manage procurement activities for the category from sourcing to award

       Develop relationships with site managers and teams to enable engagement and alignment with purchasing strategies

This role offers a great opportunity for an experienced marketer looking for more autonomy and to develop their wider marketing skills.  Working as part of a small team, there's lots of opportunity to be exposed to (and take responsibility for) many different elements of the marketing mix and to make a real and visible difference within the business.   The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a relatively fast paced and fluid environment.  The role spans both retail (main focus - particularly Mission Deli brand management) and out of home/foodservice sectors.
