Principal Purpose of Role

Carry out the consistent application of hygiene within a given area/line to make sure the area is maintained to the agreed standards. Ensure that all sanitation processes are completed in full and that hygiene standards for a given area are maintained during the production shift.

Key Accountabilities

  • Help deliver line/area productivity in line with the master schedule to ensure operational integrity
  • Promote a good health, safety and environmental culture within the department that complies with procedures and completes near miss reporting, to promote a safe working environment
  • Follow reasonable instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Comply with all technical and safety procedures
  • Ensure you follow the agreed plans for cleaning, sanitation, environment & pest control

Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment required.

Ensure the safety, legality and quality of the products manufactured by Mission foods, Seaham are maintained to the prescribed standards

Ensure that all customer requirements are maintained including the provision of information required through the various second and third party standards. Help to ensure the safety, legality and quality of the products manufactured by Mission foods, Seaham are maintained to the prescribed standards

Primary Tasks:
Raw material approval, risk assessments and ongoing management
Supplier approval
Complaint coordination
Routine sampling management
Customer specifications
Factory specifications

Generic Activities:
Completion of raw material intake checks
Completion and co-ordination of raw material complaints and rejections
Raw material specification co-ordination ensuring that accurate up to date specifications are available for all raw materials
Maintenance of the raw material matrix
Maintenance of raw material vulnerability risk assessments
Co-ordination of raw material suppler certification/SAQ etc.
Arranging micro, chemical and physical testing for raw materials in accordance with scheduled risk assessment
Arranging micro and nutritional analysis of finished products
Arranging chemical and physical product analysis
Maintenance of reference library for raw materials
Hand swabbing management
Allergens manual maintenance
Finished product hold co-ordination ensuring traceability and accountability
Complaint logging & trending
Complaint replies & investigations
Issuing weekly complaints KPI reports to site team and Leadership Team
Calibration co-ordination ensuring all relevant equipment has a valid certificate
Routine pH, AW testing of raw materials
Collation of annual pH and Moisture figures for SAP
Weekly cockpit technical info collating & reporting
Internal specification management new issue, spec amends etc.
External specification creation & maintenance of information
Purchase order creation and co-ordination
Internal audits as per schedule
HACCP manual management including amends and creation of documents

QM, procedures & policies amends and creation
Updating and maintaining accuracy of the emergency contact list ensuring all
relevant personnel hold the correct information

Warehouse Operative x 2 (FTC)

Principle purpose of the job:

        To assist with managing the hygiene, health and safety and GMP standards of the warehouse and surrounding areas. To assist with the control of the operations of the warehouse and support the production team.

        Ensure all goods received and goods out are booked in/out accurately and the relevant SAP movements are completed in a timely manner.

        Assist with Stock Takes and inventory controls at set intervals as planned by the Stock Control and Warehouse Manager.

        Actively seek continuous improvement ideas and play a role in the implementation of initiatives across the warehouse function.

        Ensure that all paperwork is neatly and punctually filled in, correctly filled in records to ensure we comply with the Technical policies on tractability.

Working Hours:

7.00am to 7.00pm/7.00pm to 7.00am to cover 7 days a week on a rotating shift basis; 4 days off, 4 days on.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract
