Principal Purpose of Role

Carry out the consistent application of hygiene within a given area/line to make sure the area is maintained to the agreed standards. Ensure that all sanitation processes are completed in full and that hygiene standards for a given area are maintained during the production shift.

Key Accountabilities

  • Help deliver line/area productivity in line with the master schedule to ensure operational integrity
  • Promote a good health, safety and environmental culture within the department that complies with procedures and completes near miss reporting, to promote a safe working environment
  • Follow reasonable instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Comply with all technical and safety procedures

Shift Engineer (Coventry) NEW

Principal purpose of role

To provide a pro-active approach to the prevention of equipment failure and  ensuring the schedule PM is carried out as planned. Ensuring Quality, waste and efficiency targets are met by working as an integral part of the manufacturing team. Following all Health & Safety procedures at all times.

Main tasks and responsibilities
1. Carry out work assignments issued by Lead engineer and maximize effectiveness of the shift at all times by ensuring efficient completion of tasks.

2. Demonstrate a team approach with regard to maintenance and hygiene of equipment and support (teams of) operators.

3. Provide support to the team during breaks and absences and work together to ensure completion of their duties.

4. Follow all work instructions, procedures, job descriptions at all times.

5. Ensure that all Work Orders, PM's issued to the shift are completed.

6. Complete all necessary paper work.

7. Work with other functions as part of the manufacturing team to ensure efficient running of the equipment and carry out prioritized work as agreed.

8. Carry out the assigned activities to meet operational targets; working with other func-tions to ensure mutual objectives are met.

9. Compliance with Company policies, procedures and regulations (e.g. attendance, quality, safety, GMP's, etc.) and ensure these are followed to maintain the required standards (e.g. Food Safety, PPE etc.).

10. Resolve mechanical and/or electrical problems in a timely fashion.

11. Order spare parts as required on shift if unavailable from stock and contact contrac-tors/suppliers as required in order to resolve problems on shift.

12. Ensure all parts removed from stores while on shift are booked out of stores in the cor-rect way

13. Where necessary, must initiate the purchase of parts or equipment completing the rele-vant order requisition forms with relevant information., handing them into the Lead en-gineer or Engineering Stores Administrator for processing

14. Provide the Lead Engineer with information on all engineering downtime attended on shift,, related quality issue, work orders completed, PM's completed and other details as required.

15. Identify and analyse problems before crises and determine appropriate action and fol-low-up.
16. Ensure remedial works to equipment raised by work order or PM's are highlighted to the Lead engineer. .

17. Complete “Permit to Work' system when appropriate.

18. Advise teams (of Operators) on a continuous basis with regard to simple maintenance and/or continuous improvement.

Warehouse Operative x 2 (Seaham)

Key Accountabilities:

  • Adhere to company Health and Safety policies at all times, ensuring that safe working practices are followed. Report Issues as they occur and escalate accordingly based on severity of risk. Report any malfunctioning equipment to the warehouse manager or deputy immediately 
  • Ensure all goods received and goods out are booked in/out accurately and the relevant SAP movements are completed in a timely manner. Ensuring that the FIFO principles are followed at all times to maintain stock rotation. When receiving goods ensure deliveries are checked, labelled and put away in the correct locations
  • Assist with Stock Takes and inventory controls at set intervals as planned by the Stock Control and Warehouse Manager
  • Actively seek continuous improvement ideas and play a role in the implementation of initiatives across the warehouse function.
  • Ensure that all paperwork is neatly and punctually filled in, correctly filled in records to ensure we comply with the Technical policies on tractability  
  • Keep the production area's clear of finished goods by moving them to a suitable storage location and ensure that all relevant checks are carried out at shift end to eradicate ghost tags entering the system. Issue raw materials to production from the warehouse as and when ordered to ensure production doesn't stop.
  • Follow the company clean as you go policy to ensure the warehouse complies with the company's GMP standards at all times

Previous experience working in a warehouse required.
